Insane Scramble, Hail Mary Win HS Championship
Facing fourth-and-19, with two minutes left in California's D-III title game, Kingsburg needed a miracle. It would be their second one of the year.
Garrett Steele made a mad, 15-second scramble through the end zone, eluding every blitzer twice, before getting off what would be an 81-yard touchdown to Tyler Abernathy.
We wonder if that play didn't go off exactly as called, because in their first game of the season, Steele connected with Abernathy on an eerily similar 80-yard gamewinner:
