Rihanna's Bikini Top Offends Northern Ireland Farmer In Quaintest Dispute Ever
Well, this is adorable, and certainly newsworthy: Rihanna, who has probably worn a bikini top for ninety percent of her adult life, recently had "a conversation" with a Northern Ireland farmer named Alan Graham to discuss her wardrobe. As a result of the conversation, Rihanna will probably not wear bikini tops around Northern Ireland farmers anymore.
The Roc Nation pop star was filming a music video for the single "We Found Love" in Graham's wheat field just "east of Belfast" on Monday. Graham spoke up when he went to fetch his tractor and saw her in a bikini in public:
"I thought it was inappropriate. I requested them to stop and they did," he explained.
"I had my conversation with Rihanna and I hope she understands where I'm coming from. We shook hands," he said.
Mr Graham admitted that he did not know who the 23-year-old sex symbol was when he got a phone call to ask for the use of his field in Bangor, County Down, for a pop video last week.
"I didn't know who was coming. If the name 'Rihanna' had been mentioned, well, no disrespect but it wouldn't have meant anything," he explained.
Graham, an alderman in Ireland's Democratic Unionist Party, told the BBC that he "[wished] no ill will against Rihanna and her friends," and suggested that "[p]erhaps they could acquaint themselves with a greater God."
It seems more likely, though, that Rihanna and her friends will merely acquaint themselves with a different Irish wheat field.
