Report: Mike McQueary Says He Talked To The Cops After Seeing Jerry Sandusky Rape A Boy
The Allentown (Pa.) Morning Call has obtained an email dated last week in which Mike McQueary says he "did have discussions with police and with the official at the university in charge of police." The grand jury summary says McQueary, about a week and a half after he witnessed the incident, met with Tim Curley and Gary Schultz, the latter of whom did indeed oversee the university police. So we all knew that part, in other words. Two sentences later, the grand jury report also states that "McQueary was never questioned by University Police and no other entity conducted an investigation" until McQueary testified before the grand jury last year. There is no indication McQueary spoke to any other police official.
Also from the Morning Call's report:
In the email obtained by The Morning Call, dated Nov. 8, McQueary said "I did stop it, not physically, but made sure it was stopped when I left that locker room."
"No one can imagine my thoughts or wants to be in my shoes for those 30-45 seconds," McQueary wrote. "Trust me."
The grand jury report merely says McQueary "was shocked but noticed that Victim 2 and Sandusky saw him." Hmm. And now that CBS's big exclusive interview resulted in a big fat no comment from McQueary, all we're left with is more questions about what he did with what he knew.
