Deadspin's Blood Week Begins Monday, And We Want Your Stories
We've done Blood Week in the past, and next week we're bringing it back. What is Blood Week? Well, it's tales of blood, violence, gruesome injuries, near-death experiences, mayhem, and blood. Think hockey. Think boxing. Think MMA. Think anything that confronts you with your own fragile and occasionally messy humanity.
We've got plenty of stories to share, and our own Jim Cooke once carved up his leg to give you the image you see above. But we also want your submissions. Maybe you took a line drive off your face in the company softball game. Maybe you got elbowed in the nose playing basketball. Or maybe you gnarled your leg on a biking excursion. You get the idea. So send us photos and stories of your own awful sports injuries, preferably if lots of blood is involved. The email address is [email protected]. Be sure to put Blood Week in the subject line. We'll take it from there.
