ESPN Inadvertently Mic'd Two Mavs Fans Last Night, So Here's The Highlights Of Their Commentary
The Lakers' 96-91 win over the Mavericks last night ended up being more interesting late than it should have been—mostly due to L.A.'s inability to hit free throws down the stretch. Yet there was another, more unique narrative taking place on one of ESPN's audio channels.
That's because the WWL placed one of their crowd microphones a bit too close to a pair of Dallas fans who were especially vocal during the game. While most of their commentary was an incessant echoing of the "DE-FENSE! DE-FENSE!" and "LET'S GO MAVS!" prompted by the public address system, they occasionally said some more interesting things (as well as wondering, along with the rest of the world, the whereabouts of Lamar Odom). We isolated their audio channel and here present some of the more interesting moments of the game as commented by fans who are probably a bit like you. [ESPN]
