Scott Sizemore's Wife Says She "Might Go Barf" In MLB's First Twitter Meltdown Of The Season
Poor Scott Sizemore. The A's third baseman showed up for the team's first full-squad workout of the spring today, and in the first hour he hurt his knee during fielding drills. The news was tweeted almost immediately by several news outlets, but San Francisco Chronicle beat reporter Susan Slusser's Twitter dispatch was the first to get word to Sizemore's wife, Brooke:
Obviously concerned, Brooke Sizemore wanted details. Her next tweet was sent almost instantly:
A short time later, those details came: Sizemore was reportedly in "significant pain" after his knee reportedly made an "audible pop." He will have to have an MRI to determine the extent of the damage. But the first reporter with that last bit of news has a Twitter avatar in which she's riding a horse in a white gown near a large body of water:
