Martin Kaymer Holed Out His Attempt To Skip Across Augusta's Pond At The 16th Hole
It's a tradition during practice rounds at Augusta to attempt to skip a drive across the pond on the 16th hole, and German pro Martin Kaymer not only achieved that feat, but did it one better by actually holing the shot out. We've been on a mad search for good video of this since hearing about it happening Monday afternoon, and last night it finally emerged—in lovely HD, no less, taken by spectator Jeremiah Clark.
Yahoo!'s Devil Ball Golf reminds us Vijay Singh pulled the stunt off three years ago, but that doesn't make Kaymer's achievement any less amazing to watch. While golf's not in danger of being overshadowed by its trick shot variety anytime soon (a la billiards, nowadays) these shots are intriguing enough we'd encourage more of this sort of thing.
