Orioles Employ Extra Security In Futile Attempt To End Streaking Epidemic
The second-place Orioles have had just enough of your streaking ways, citizens of Baltimore. You had your fun on April 6, what with your Batman-inspired impostor, a.k.a. 26-year-old truck driver Mark Harvey, who was later permanently banned for life from the stadium.
Then umpire Jeff Kellogg had to body slam a fan who hopped from the stands and ran around the bases. Now, in light of Kellogg's timely tackle, the Orioles are ready to employ extra security just to put a stop to the rampant streakiness:
"The club believes it is important to provide adequate support to discourage illegal fan behavior such as running onto the field as well as to quickly and effectively address any problems should they arise," Orioles director of communications Greg Bader said.
"We expect that the additional security will do both."
Could be me, but that sounds like some kind of challenge.
