Some Poor Bastard's Cell Phone Went Off During John Tortorella's Press Conference, And Torts Was Not Happy
John Tortorella's press conferences are the stuff of legend: tense, terse legend. At least from the media side, they're more amusing than hostile. But there's going to come a day when the Rangers aren't winning, and the scribes are going to refer to their mental tally of all the times Torts bullied or humiliated them, and there will be bloodletting.
The New York Post's Jay Greenberg will be one of the first with knives out, after he drew Tortorella's ire last night by failing to switch off the ringer on his cell phone. (To be fair, it's about the most obnoxious ringtone there is.) Torts responded in the only way he knows how: with exasperation and profanity.
