Gilbert Arenas Is Selling His DC-Area Mansion, Complete With Million-Dollar Grotto
Way back in 2008, Gilbert Arenas began work on his million-dollar swimming pool at his Great Falls, Va., mansion. D.C. Sports Bog had some photos of the project under construction, and it looked like a millionaire athlete's fever dream: a full stone grotto complete with its own hot tub, bar, fish tank, entertainment system, and water slide.
Well, time marches on. Two years removed from the Wizards, with his NBA future in doubt, Arenas is apparently selling the 13,000-square-foot home. A reader tipped us off to a listing with Long & Foster Real Estate, for a Great Falls address registered to one Gilbert J. Arenas Jr. A realtor at Long & Foster tells us the home was listed last month. Arenas is asking $3.5 million for the seven-bedroom, seven-bath Colonial-style mansion. All that work on a fantasy sex grotto, and you only get to enjoy it for four years. Life (and the real estate market) can be a cruel mistress.
We fondly remember Gilbert's grotto with some photos from the listing. Good night, sweet prince; And flights of bikini-clad music video hos sing thee to thy rest.
