High School Soccer Player Is Very Sorry For Destroying Her Opponent With A Knee To The Face

"Sorry" doesn't put the teeth back in the jaw, or reset the broken nose. Still, it's a good start toward sportsmanship! The incident, from a Utah high school soccer game a couple weeks ago, managed to go viral when video of Petiola Manu going all Great Muta on Makenzie Clark's face made the local news. Now Manu wants forgiveness, and I think we should give it to her.

"I let my emotions get the best of me and I took it too far. And I just want to apologize to (Makenzie) and everyone. I'm sorry."

Nah, we're cool. Still, what's in the water in Utah? The single most brutal girls soccer footage we've ever seen took place in a BYU game, now this. My theory: magic underwear.
