A Pixar Animator Sketches The NFL Season
Austin Madison is an animator for Pixar, and has worked on movies including Ratatouille, Toy Story 3, and Up. But this is perhaps his finest work: a series of sketches throughout the NFL season, previewing one or two of each week's games.
It began on his blog, Austin Translation, back in September, before the Dallas-New York season opener. He wrote:
This is why I'm not a huge football fan. When I hear "Giants vs Cowboys," I imagine something along these lines...
The drawings only got more detail and more colorful from there. You can see all of them, including bonus BCS Championship and World Series sketches, and quarter-by-quarter updates of the Super Bowl, at the "Fantasy Football" tagpage of his site. Here are a couple more of our favorites.
