Angels Hitting Coach Don Baylor Breaks Leg On Ceremonial First Pitch
Vladimir Guerrero threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Angels game against the Mariners and while trying to catch it, Don Baylor seemed to hyperextend his leg and possibly suffer even further injury.
He remained on the ground until Vlad got to him and then tried to stand up on his own, when his leg buckled again. He was helped off the field in what was supposed to be his first game with the Angels. The extent of the damage is unclear, but the latest news from the Angels has Baylor at UCI Medical Center having his right leg examined.
Update: The Angels announced on Twitter that Baylor fractured his right femur and will have surgery tomorrow. We've updated the headline.
