Danny Green Was Once The Awkward Guy At LeBron's Birthday Party
This is a three-year-old video from LeBron James's 25th birthday party. At least that's what it was until today. Now, it's a video of Danny Green, the scrub-turned-dead-eyed-marksman who has taken the NBA finals by storm, acting awkward at a club. It's also proof that life is strange.
We posted this video back in 2010, and poor Danny Green didn't even get a mention. That's because nobody knew who the hell Danny Green was back then. He was in his rookie year with the Cavaliers, and hadn't seen the floor for more than a few minutes at a time. In this video, he's just part of the scenery, no different than the ice sculpture or the other awkward bros desperately trying to look comfortable. Should I keep my hands here? you can see him thinking. I should probably keep my hands here. Oh man, just keep dancing and stay close to LeBron. Be cool, Danny.
And now, Green is the unconscious shooter who owns the record for most made three-pointers in an NBA finals series. Now, he's the guy who is swallowing up LeBron's fast-break layups and is one game away from sending his former teammate home without a ring. Maybe now Green can throw his own birthday bash, complete with an ice sculpture and nervous gawkers.
