Giants Lose On Walk-Off Balk
What’s the most embarrassing way to lose a baseball game? An extra-innings walk-off balk has certainly got to be up there, and that’s precisely how the Giants lost to the Padres last night, when Santiago Casilla stumbled about the mound trying to throw a pitch.

The Giants have the best record in baseball, but also the most blown saves in baseball, as the bullpen is clearly their weak link. Even before his balk, Casilla had given up three singles and a run to let the Padres tie the game. While Giants manager Bruce Bochy didn’t want to talk about it after the game, I’ll bet Sergio Romo will be closing sooner rather than later.
