Biologist Brad Josephs recently planted a GoPro camera out in the Alaskan wilderness, hoping to capture some up-close footage of bears for a BBC nature show. He ended up getting much more than he bargained for.

The video actually starts out rather adorably, because bears can be cute and cuddly when they are at a safe distance, but eventually we end up getting a prolonged and terrifying look into a gaping maw of death. Please note the flecks of blood on the bear's snout. Terrifying.

The lesson, as always, is to never go outside.
