Israel's War Against Hamas Is Justified, Says Cleveland Cavaliers Coach
We will direct you to this David Blatt interview with Israeli newspaper Globes and then back slowly away from the computer. In it, Blatt, the Cleveland Cavaliers' new head coach—and an American Jewish Israeli who once did us the great service of pissing off Coach K—talks about the current wave of fighting in Gaza between Israeli forces and Hamas. He says Israel is justified in their actions, and that it makes him "uncomfortable" that he's not in Israel for the conflict.
An excerpt:
Do you support the operation?
"Absolutely. In my opinion, this war is Israel's most justified war I can remember in recent years. I'm really sorry about what's happening in Gaza, but there's no doubt that we had to act there, so that Israel will have quiet there once and for all, and we can live in peace."
Do you feel support for Israel in the US?
"There's support, although sometimes it's not enough. In my opinion, though, there's more support this time than before."
