Justin Verlander And His Hacked Photos: A Partial Timeline

Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander made multiple appearances in the wave of celebrity nude pics that leaked Sunday. A big album of photos appear to have been taken from his iPhone, and some of them match up to his MLB schedule.

Using Exif data from some of the photos, we can find locations and dates, and confirm that it was Verlander's account that was hacked, not Kate Upton's. (The other photos in the collection, selfies by Upton and other women, were taken by them and sent to Verlander. Most of those don't contain metadata, however.)

Here's the timeline we have so far:

Date: June 1, 2013

Geotagged location: Near Camden Yards in Baltimore, Md.

The Tigers were: at the Orioles. Verlander's ERA has ballooned from 1.93 to 3.66 after two bad starts on May 16 and 22, which he gave up 13 runs in 7.2 innings. He started June 1 against Baltimore and allowed three earned runs in 7.0 innings while striking out five.

Geotagged location: Manhattan, N.Y.

The Tigers were: on the All-Star Break. Verlander was chosen for the AL roster for the next day's game at Citi Field, but did not play.

Geotagged location: Outside of Richmond, Va.

The Tigers were: not playing. Verlander owns a house near his childhood home in Goochland, Va.

The Tigers were: at the Twins. Verlander was scheduled to start the next afternoon, but the game would be rained out.

The Tigers were: at the Diamondbacks. The night before, Verlander had thrown 116 pitches over 6.2 innings, striking out five, walking three, and giving up three runs on six hits en route to the win.

Geotagged location: Birmingham, Mich.

The Tigers were: at home August 13-17. Verlander's previous start was Aug. 11 against the Pirates, in which he lasted an inning, giving up five earned runs, before being removed with right shoulder soreness.
