Oklahoma RB Joe Mixon Suspended For Being A Dick To Parking Lot Attendant [Update]

Oklahoma’s star running back Joe Mixon was suspended for the team’s upcoming game against Iowa State for the always-nebulous crime of “violating team rules.” According to his lawyer, who spoke to The Oklahoman, Mixon received a parking ticket this morning, then “tore the ticket up in front of the parking attendant, and threw it on the ground.”

Mixon issued an apology for being a dick to the parking attendant:

“I regret that I did not respond appropriately to parking attendants and understand and accept the consequences.”

Mixon missed the entire 2014 season after he socked a woman in the face and broke several bones.

Update, 11/4, 2:23 p.m. EDT: TMZ Sports got their hands on the police report, which disputes a detail of Mixon’s attorney’s account that he simply threw it on the ground.

According to the police report filed with the University of Oklahoma PD — the accuser told cops Mixon “threw a torn up parking citation, which allegedly struck the victim in the face.”
