Old Lady Drives Car Onto Golf Course During U.S. Open Qualifier

A reader named David sent us this. He said his friend was playing today at Emerald Hills in Hollywood, Fla., when "an old lady (par down here) drove onto the cart path and continued into the sand trap." If she wanted to play through that badly, she should have just asked.

Unless she was lost. Yeah, that's it. We're guessing she was lost, the poor thing.

Emerald Hills was hosting a U.S. Open qualifier today. This happened on the 11th hole, which isn't anywhere near a driveway or a street or a shopping mall parking lot. In fact, as you can see in this aerial photograph, the old lady either drove through someone's yard or was on the cart path for quite awhile before she decided to bust a yooee in that sand trap:
