Penn State quarterback Anthony Morelli has received death threats via e-mail, for infractions way less severe than going to the Barbaro message board and wishing out loud that the horse would die. No, some jack-ass Penn State fans want him dead because he's only thrown for 2,227 yards and 10 touchdowns against 8 interceptions.
Now, no one likes to get death threats, but the ones sent over e-mail seem sort of non-threatening to me. I mean, if a guy can't even be bothered to go to the trouble of cutting letters out of a magazine and pasting them onto another piece of paper, all the while careful not to get fingerprints anywhere... well, that guy's probably harmless. I don't think there's any need for Penn State to go to the trouble of hiring Kevin Costner to protect Morelli at the Outback Bowl.
Just a word of advice to the overzealous Penn State fans responsible for this: Don't e-mail any death threats to Joe Paterno. Number one, he doesn't use the e-mail or the EBay, and he won't get it. And number two, he really could die at any minute. And then you'd feel bad, and probably go to jail.

Some 14 year old kid just pwn3d Penn State.
"Timmy come downstairs and eat your supper!"
"Ok, mom. Be there in a minute!...
...N i hope u die you. Ima blo up yo house!
Send."
The kid needs a coach. Jay Paterno is THE worst QB coach ever. Morelli has not improved even slightly throughout the season. However, it is really, really sad that he has been receiving death threats.
I'm not so sure that they're really from PSU fans.
They could be from his high school coach after Morelli recently him apart in the newspapers.

Paterno reminds me of Patches O'Houlihan and Morelli is that kid Justin. "If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a linebacker" is probably his main method of instruction to the kid. I tend to feel bad for him.

Also, because JayPa drinks his own pee.
i certainly wouldn't go as far as to issue death threats to the poor kid... but he certainly has failed my expectations and he is the worst QB in D-I football. so, you know, he doesn't have a whole lot going for him right now.
Didn't Alan Branch already kill that guy?
Funny, I didn't think Morelli could read.
This is a little bit more interesting on this guy. He sure is modest. REAL glad he forgot about his commitment to Pitt..

I envision a death threat to Morelli as one of those picture menus at McDonalds for the functionally illiterate. The boy is D-U-M dumb.
As a lifelong Penn State fan, I can't figure out if these emails are more likely to come from jackass Pitt fans, or delusional Penn State fans. There's a lot of anger toward Morelli, ever since he switched from Pitt to PSU right before signing day a few years ago. Also, there's the Retard Penn State Fan factor, and I wouldn't put it past some PSU fans to send such letters.
As a lawyer I wonder, why hasn't anything been done about these threats yet? I mean, they have the emails, senders, IP addresses, etc. If the threats were so serious, how has nobody been arrested? Isn't that the ultimate open-and-shut case for the FBI, who would certainly handle such a case with the assistance of the PA State Police?
I don't doubt the kid has received a lot of negative email, but there's a constant underlying "woe is me" theme to the Morelli saga.
