<![CDATA[Alonzo Mourning Retires (Again?)]]> The 38-year-old center—who apparently still believed he was in the NBA—will not return from the leg injury that ended his career back in 2007. I believe the diagnosis was a swollen Van Gundy. [NBA.com]

<![CDATA[Alonzo Mourning's Accused Of Being Deadbeat Casino Space User]]>

Say whatever you want about the Wynn Las Vegas, but their debt-collections wing is clearly not messing around. Wynn, which notoriously went after Chuck Barkley for his $400,000 gambling debt, is now loosing its legal hyenas upon Alonzo Mourning, who's charity foundation owes the casino 50 large for "convention and meeting space and related services used during the 2007 NBA All-Star weekend", according to the LA Times.

Mourning, the one kidney'd warrior who is apparently still a member of the Miami Heat, had no comment on the suit and the NBA isn't commenting on it until they find out who exactly screwed this up and the league's attorneys have yet to see the suit.

<![CDATA[A Little Mo' Zo]]> Alonzo Mourning has announced his intentions to return to the Miami Heat to help Jason Williams and Antoine Walker defend their NBA championship. Mourning was reportedly getting some attention and offers from other teams, including the San Antonio Spurs, but in the end, the allure of playing another year with Antoine Walker was just too much for him to pass up.

The back-up center for the Heat, of course, is an inspirational story as well, having come back from a life-threatening kidney disease. He doesn't play a ton of minutes these days, but his health doesn't appear to be a huge factor anymore. At least, it didn't, up until he suffered this massive seizure in the NBA Finals.

<![CDATA[About Last Night ...]]> What You Missed While "Reorganizing Your Sock Drawer," If you Know What We Mean (Which We Don't)...
· Phillies tie for wild-card lead. Ryan Howard immediately organizes holdout.
· Padres storm to under .500 division lead. The pennant will be a white flag.
· Mourning Returns To Heat. Funny; we have a feeling that he still played for Toronto, he'd be floating in a pool sipping margaritas right now.
