    DC has never been a very good sports town other than for the Redskins and even for the Redskins having season tickets is more of a status symbol than genuine interest. Kind of like having Lakers season ticket in LA.

    My theory is that DC has too many transplants as residents and they don't care about local sports in their adopted city mainly because they all suck, a lot.
