Every Day Should Be Saturday has the audio, and Blakeney Communications, the company responsible for the stream, issued the corporatese-laden awkward apology to the tiny internet audience expecting to hear the Spring Game who instead was greeted with the odd conversation about "What's the weirdest thing you stuck yer dick in?"-type banter between a couple of fun-lovin' fellas.

Blakeney Communications, Inc. apologizes to the University of Southern Mississippi, ISP and Southern Miss Fans for a technical error which inadvertently resulted in a private conversation by Rock 104 employees being sent out over the internet instead of the internet web cast of the Southern Miss Spring Football Game.

The employees were not aware that their conversation was accidentally being picked up by a live microphone and could be heard by Southern Miss fans who were trying to listen to the web cast of the game. The conversation was NOT broadcast on the radio.

The employees deeply regret any offensive remarks which may have been made and wish to apologize to Southern Miss fans. They have been severely reprimanded by Blakeney Communications. The comments made do not represent the views or opinions of Rock 104 or Blakeney Communications, Inc.

Blakeney Communications, Inc. would like for all Southern Miss Fans to know that the error was not the fault of ISP or the University of Southern Mississippi. Blakeney Communications, Inc. takes full responsibility for and deeply regrets the error.

Larry Blakeney, President and CEO
Debbie Blakeney. General Manager

For those actually interested in the outcome of the intra-squad game: Black defeated Gold 18-15. But seriously — have you ever stuck it in a fat chick?

<![CDATA[It's Scary Down There In Baton Rouge]]> Last weekend, the genius that is Orson Swindle at Every Day Should Be Saturday attended the Florida-LSU game in Baton Rouge. We've never been to an SEC football game, but, man, do we want to now. We've never heard a better description of the madness of college football Saturday in the South than this:

That voodoo's real. When the "Four Corners Salute" gets cranking, it's like listening to a 747 made entirely of fired clay crashing into a field of shattered glass. Getting a snap off effectively is in itself a game ball-worthy achievement. Combined with the orgy going on outside the stadium for five miles in any direction, it's the gold standard for any other college gameday experience. Any of them. It is peerless in terms of demonstrated intensity, lunacy, commitment, flair, and menace. At several points in the day, we were convinced we were going to be killed, injected with creole butter, and thrown in a deep fryer...but only in the most festive and accommodating of ways, of course.

Heck, it's such a party ... Rick Reilly is showing up, in terrifying ways, apparently.
