    My son was born with this. While it was disturbing at first, he had surgery a year after his birth, with no complications. We lived in San Antonio at the time.

    He's a normal kid and doesn't even know about the procedure.

    Yes.Within the first few hours after delivery. So, the Doctors gave us the info, and we scheduled the surgery a year out. He's now 10 and is perfectly fine.
