@Azian Zero Loves Jezebel: I'm sorry, buddy. I don't know you too well, but I gather from your star that you're an esteemed member of the Deadspin commenting community.
Trivia was okay. I lost, and I ran into someone from HS that barely knew me, but we were both cool so we hung out happily and played darts. Charles was his name, I think. Alright guy. I'd be ok with him dating my sister.
The bike ride after was uneventful. The bike ride there featured me running dead on into a trash can while I was examining my gears. I'm so ADD I'm just glad I was on Washington Street in downtown San Jo, which is always empty.
@Ailanthus-altissima: See, that shows confidence, though. That's awesome that you were like "Fuck it all, I can keep going along, and just put on my gloves"
Even though it didn't work out, you should be proud.
@Shamrockette is stickin' to it!: Jobs suck. It's much more fun and fulfilling to sit on your ass and comment on sports blogs all day. That's what I do.
@TheOnlyNetsFan: Also, poison control once told me it would take 70 oz. of chocolate to kill my 60 lb. dog. I hope everyone involved in your poison control incident is okay!
@CoolHwhip: The sad thing is, had he not taken such a slow pace with Ep. I and maybe skimmed some of the backstory, the last half-hour of Ep. III would have been an entire movie. Which it should have been.
@Shamrockette is stickin' to it!: Nice! Enjoy it while it lasts. Try to travel...thats what I'm doing. No job, no lease, lots of money...better than just burning it at the bar right?
@Azian Zero Loves Jezebel: Yeah, if I didn't have an overprotective mother who won't let me have a job in the city because she thinks I'm going to get mugged and/or raped by some black guys.
So I'm pretty much stuck having to find jobs in the suburbs. And from what I have experienced, nobody's hiring or they're hiring people who will work for them throughout the year, not a college student who needs a job for the summer.
@Shamrockette is stickin' to it!: Woah, me too. Collegeville for the win. I might take a job at a sweet hotel where I carry shit (I forget what it's called) and rake in the tips.
@Shakεy: My area doesn't have any nice hotels or anything! All we have are retail, grocery and food service jobs. And even the fucking McDonald's down the road from me isn't hiring!
@Shakεy: Hey, desperate times call for desperate measures.
Though I think it's a gift from God they're not hiring anyone now. Now I have an excuse to pull the "But McDonalds' isn't hiring, either!" card on my mom when she starts nagging me about getting a job.
@businessorleisure: Maybe a little.. as Karlifornia said it depends how much credit you give Phil for his successes. Personally I don't think Phil ever gives enough credit to those who help him/build his teams. He'll never be #1 to me.
That said, is there one NBA coach you'd rather have for a game today?
I'm sure Yankee fans are happy with a loss since Tex hit two homers just like the Lakers fans are happy with a game one loss since as a wake up call (or the Celtics are happy since they made it a game late). Steve Phillips and Doug Collins-- keeping it interesting.
@Pete Gaines: Yo Pete, I think we both enjoy mid 90's shitcoms, so I thought you might appreciate this...Not at good as the Full House video, but it got like, 1 and a 1/2 laughs out of me
@Karlifornia: Words can't describe how awesome that is.
As much as I love where I'm living in Chicago, the apartment I was first planning on getting is a block from where the Family Matters exteriors were shot.
@Pete Gaines: That must have been hard to pass up. I live in the SF bay area, and I know living in the vicinity of the Full House "house exterior" might sway my decision.

I fell off my bike once because I was cold and decided to put on gloves while 1. drunk and 2. still biking. It wasn't my proudest moment.

I know there's gotta be something you have that's not terrible.

You got that PMA.

He's done the following since the Shaq-Kobe championships:
1) Lost to Doc Rivers
2) Quit the Lakers
3) Wrote a book on why he quit the Lakers
4) Came back to the Lakers
5) Lost two winnable first-round series
I still think they have the upper hand in this series, but tonight was the latest of his strange ways in the last few years.

Could PJ Carlesimo have won the same amount of titles with those Bulls and Lakers teams?
I honestly don't know, but I think if you can answer that question, you have the answer to your original question.
