    Worth noting in all the Manny mess: hCG is used as a male fertility treatment, too -- mostly to boost sperm count. Found it in a take here and then went looking. From Wikipedia:


    In the male, hCG injections are used to stimulate the leydig cells to synthesize testosterone. The intratesticular testosterone is necessary for spermatogenesis from the sertoli cells. Typical uses for hCG in men include hypogonadism and fertility treatment.


    I honestly don't know for sure whether Manny did it to cover up steroids, and no one else does, either. Maybe he and his wife wanted another kid.

    Interestingly enough, the Beverly Hills Hotel ballroom saw similar attendance that evening for a "talent showcase" put on by a Persian princess's indulgent parents.
