    But of the 100 pieces he's written about the Vikings he only mentioned that Larry used to be a ball boy for them in 97 of them.

    Slate writer Josh Levin dutifully points out that building up Fitzgerald Sr., a veteran sports reporter for the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder, as anything more than a cheerleader with a pen is a little ridiculous.


    A cheerleader with a pen is far less dangerous than a cheerleader with a magic marker.
