    Uh, Wow, where to start. How about Mauer and Jeter's WAR's? Mauer 6.6, Jeter 6.0. One and three respectively in the AL (Zobrist is number two).

    The Metrodome is the 7th best hitters park in the MLB, Yankee stadium is actually the 16th best (it's park value is below 1.00, meaning it is a pitchers park).

    Mauer did miss a month of the season, meaning he didn't help his team win the first month while Jeter.

    Listen, I am not arguing that Jeter IS the MVP, in my opinion Mauer is the MVP hands down. But there is a month of baseball to go, and their WAR's aren't that far apart. More importantly your article should have been about a dumb sportswriter, not trying to knock an awesomely awesome season by Jeter.

    Oh, and by the way, when Morneau won his MVP it was Jeter who got screwed. This post sucked.

    @AbramHamilton: I wouldnt say it sucked, but the Jeter-Mauer debate is much closer to a legitimate debate than it is to the no doubter that Tommy suggests it is, though.
