Mike Mussina Calls It A Career |

The sad part is, if he had come back and won another 18 games next year, if the media had liked him a little more, if he hadn't been the #3 starter on the Yanks for the last 8 years, we'd be giving his Hall of Fame chances a little more lip service instead of dismissing him as a smart, decent pitcher who put up solid numbers for almost 20 years.
Personally, I think he's in the hall of very, very, very good; it's a close call for whether he gets in. If I were a writer with a vote, I'd lose sleep trying to figure out whether I'd vote him in. Which is probably why I'd wind up voting no. But it's damn close.
He'll wind up being the Jim Rice of this generation.

That pretty much ended my argument for Moose getting in the hall. Andy for what it's worth had some serious wins in the post season. Mike just allowed you to put 18 wins on the board on the average.

So fuck him, I'm glad he never won a ring.

Cito can't hear you. It's not the two World Series trophies clogging his ears though, he's just really old.

But a hall of famer he is not.
