This match-up hurts my soul. In high school, my BFF and I would go to all the home Pitt games we could just to gaze upon the hotness of Sean Miller. (And fellow Panther, Darren Morningstar.) We'd sneak into Pitt bars and frat houses, just hoping to meet him our little crushes were so strong.
Now, he's older and married. I'm older and married. Neither one of us look like we did in the early 90's. But underneath middle-aged Sean Miller, I still see college-Sean Miller and my little crush still burns.
That being said... Go Pitt! Like most former-under-aged Yinzers, Oakland was like a second home.
@Sarcastro: I've heard amazing things about the Decade. Although that bar has pretty much been a haven for underagers no matter who's been running it. That is, until the current owner, a known white supremacist who made it onto CNN last year for his HI-larious "Wetback Wednesday" taco and Corona special.
@ClintonPortishead: First of all, I obviously posted this on the wrong thread. Secondly, yeah I know, I lived in Oakland until last summer. My time there was during the Cumpie's era, where your Pitt ID would get you in the door and Natty Light drafts were a quarter. Wasn't too long ago, but them's were the days.
@OchentaYcinco: I was just confused by all this "Decade" talk, didn't register. And the owner is a racist dick, but if you stop going to all the bars on campus owned by racist dicks (Boomerang's), you're not left with much.
Pitt is going to win this game, but they don't deserve it. They walked around and made stupid decisions and won because they had more talent.
From the way you described the game, I do not disagree with you one bit. I do not like when Pitt acts like Duke, swanning around the court like they own the place. Pitt is good, but they ain't that good. They need to remember that.
