    Thanks to douche bags like this several great players will be denied the honor of being unanimously voted into the HOF. That will honor will go to someone else (who will be less deserving) after people like Corky die. My prediction is ARod will be the first unanimous HOF entry.

    I bet you all don't remember Corky Simpson from the 1992 college football season. He was the AP voter who voted Alabama #1 every single week, up through their Sugar Bowl victory over Miami, thus clinching the AP National Championship!
    He's a good columnist. I didn't read the Citizen when I lived in Tucson, but I did read his columns online.

    @GoldenPolynice: He should not be uttered in the same breath as Mays, Ruth, etc., and he is far from the most deserving to be elected to the HOF unanimously.


    Sure without the streak he's still a Hall of Famer, but that doesn't mean he isn't one of the most overrated players in baseball history.
