    But while you gloated over the fact that nobody from the Big East appeared in the championship game, an argument could be made that nobody from the Big Ten did, either.

    Again, I hate to bring this up, but there's so much talk about how MSU could have finally brought something to cheer about to the state of Michigan...did Detroit/the state of Michigan derive no excitement from the Red Wings winning the Stanley Cup? I know most of America doesn't care about hockey, but Detroit cares, right?

    @Kid Canada: Yes, of course, it was a false assumption. But also--Southeast Michigan generally doesn't care about MSU anyway. There are State fans that live there, of course, but it's mostly Ann Arbor territory.

    It was a profitable game. Had Carolina -4.5 in the first half. Had under 80.5 in the second half.
