The Moment Chicago Radio Hosts Found Out On The Air That They Were Fired
We mentioned this while it was happening yesterday, but it's another thing altogether to see video of Chicago sports radio hosts trying to doing their show as they learn their entire station is going to be shut down.
Tribune Media, owners of WGN, launched the area's first sports talk radio FM station in February. It didn't work. Yesterday the news broke that The Game 87.7 would be shut down at year's end. Hosts Alex Quigley and Ben Finfer and update anchor Julie DiCaro learned the news on Twitter during an ad break in yesterday afternoon's show. Here's what went down after they came back on the air.
A huge h/t to John.
