Three Extra-Time Goals Give Real Madrid Champions League Title
After Sergio Ramos scored in stoppage time with a 93rd-minute equalizer to keep Real Madrid alive in the Champions League final, Real Madrid struck three times in the second half of extra time to blow out Atletico Madrid.
Gareth Bale had the game-winner in the 110th minute with a header off of a deflected shot, causing the Fox Deportes booth to react accordingly. Eight minutes later, Marcelo essentially sealed the match with his goal; in the 120th minute, Cristiano Ronaldo poured it on with his penalty shot for a 4-1 final.
Atletico Madrid had scored first with Diego Godin's goal in the 36th minute. Fortunately for keeper Iker Casillas, Ramos and company saved him in the end.
