Everyone loves Steve Horgan, the Boston police officer who celebrated David Ortiz's game-tying grand slam and made for photo gold. Everyone except Torii Hunter.
Hunter was shaken up by his tumble over the low wall and into the Red Sox bullpen. He said he landed awkwardly and had the wind knocked out of him. But after viewing replays of the home run, he's wondering why Horgan had to be a fan instead of, you know, doing his job.
From MLB.com's Anthony Castrovince:
Torii Hunter on the Bullpen Cop: "He's supposed to be protect and serve. This son of a gun’s got his hands up! Help me, then cheer, fool!"— Anthony Castrovince (@castrovince) October 14, 2013
Hunter reportedly said this with a smile on his face. But he's not necessarily joking, or even wrong.
