Upset Mom Writes Crazy Open Letter To Cam Newton
Cam Newton really makes people furious, man. He makes them angry enough to write letters to the Charlotte Observer, in which they admonish him for having the audacity to dance.
This really happened. A fed-up mom from Nashville has had it up to here with Cam Newton dancing and having fun, because all that dancing and having fun is setting a poor example for her daughter and all the other children in America. From the letter:
Because of where we sat, we had a close up view of your conduct in the fourth quarter. The chest puffs. The pelvic thrusts. The arrogant struts and the ‘in your face’ taunting of both the Titans’ players and fans. We saw it all.
My God. They saw it all. The horror.
After going on for a bit about how Newton needs to be a better role model and how his dancing got the Panthers fans in her section all riled up, the angry mom gets to how Newton’s dancing poisoned her daughter’s experience:
My daughter sensed the change immediately – and started asking questions. Won’t he get in trouble for doing that? Is he trying to make people mad? Do you think he knows he looks like a spoiled brat?
I didn’t have great answers for her, and honestly, in an effort to minimize your negative impact and what was otherwise a really fun day, I redirected her attention to the cheerleaders and mascot.
“Ignore the bad man, honey. Just look at those objectified and criminally underpaid women!”
