Yankee Stadium Caught Opening Day Fever, And Died
Some day a real rain will come and wash all the scum off the seats.
Our buddy Ken Rosenthal just tweeted this pic from the Yankee Stadium press box during the ninth inning of today's 8-2 loss to the Red Sox, and...wow. Yes, the game was out of hand, and yes, it had started to rain, but the Yankees should probably get used to this. Today's attendance was shy of a sellout, and there are tickets for later in April going for five bucks on Stubhub.
It turns out people don't actually want to watch a joyless, losing team, not even with Vernon Wells hitting fifth. Huh.
