Meet The "This ... Is SportsCenter" Guy (Who Is A Little Terrifying)

There he is. That's Chris Kelley. Now you can put a face to the voice behind "This ... is SportsCenter."

A couple of weeks ago, Kelley showed up on SportsCenter for the first time in his 13-year stint with the show, and now ESPN's Front Row blog has a podcast interview with him. (You can listen to the whole podcast here.)

We learned a lot of things about Chris, among them that he does his voiceover work in his basement "in the woods" somewhere in the "northwest corner" of Connecticut. There is something poignant about a guy alone in his basement in the New England hinterlands, saying "brought to you by Men's Wearhouse" over and over. This ... is a Don DeLillo novel.
