A Treasure Trove Of Very Sad 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers, now in year three of their shameless rebuild, are 0-15. Playing for an 0-15 team that ranks dead last in points per game and leads the league in turnovers can’t be much fun, so it’s no surprise that 76ers Players Looking Really Sad has started to become an internet genre of sorts.
We’ll start with rookie center Jahlil Okafor, who starred in one of the best GIFs of the year (via Crossing Broad):
Okafor’s done nothing but dazzle on the offensive end (his defense is another story) through the first 15 games of his career, and all he has to show for it is a big heap of losses.

Last night, Okafor went up against No. 1 overall pick Karl-Anthony Towns, and proceeded to bust up his fellow rookie with 25 points and 12 rebounds. Towns scored just six points and grabbed two rebounds, but the T-Wolves won, 100-95.

Power forward Nerlens Noel, the only other real bright spot on the 76ers roster, has continued to work hard on the defensive end, but his pairing with Okafor has proven to be a bit of a disaster so far.

Noel hasn’t shown much improvement to his already limited offensive game, either. He’s scoring just 10 points per game and shooting 42 percent.
Sharp-shooting guard Nik Stauskas is a new addition to the team, and he was supposed to inject some much-needed firepower into the Sixers’ miserable offense. So far this year, he’s shooting 33 percent from the floor and 27 percent from deep.

I am legitimately concerned about Nik Stauskas.

Hey, remember Joel Embiid?

Sixers head coach Brett Brown recently said that his team is “built to turn the ball over.”

I don’t even know who this guy is:
