Addison Russell's Wife Files For Divorce, Will Not Participate In MLB Investigation
Photo: Jonathan Daniel/ [object Object] Earlier this month, MLB announced they would be looking into claims that Cubs shortstop Addison Russell had abused his wife. Melisa Russell accused her husband of cheating on her in a post on Instagram, and a friend of hers claimed in the comments that Addison had hit her in front of their kids. Melisa’s attorneys announced this morning that she would be filing for divorce, and would not be speaking to MLB regarding their investigation.
Here is her law firm’s full statement.
Melisa has not commented on the allegations made by her friend, and Russell has denied ever hitting his wife.
