Given what we’ve seen so far, the Rays should enter Game 5 as the slight favorites although we expect the Guardians to make this one a little difficult. Third baseman Jose Ramirez will be the Guardians’ biggest offensive threat after going 3-for-5 with an RBI in the series opener but you should also watch out right fielder Chase DeLauter who has been stepping his game up lately.
On the other hand, we are expecting the Rays to bank on their pitching to try and counter the offensive onslaught of the Guardians. While guys like Junior Caminero and Yandy Diaz can always light up the offense for the Rays, the past few games have told us that everything usually starts with their ability to establish control on the mound and prevent opposing hitters from gaining momentum early.
