The Netherlands and Morocco play in one of the top matches of the Round of 32.
With 10 goals in 3 games, the Dutch went undefeated and topped Group F.
Morocco finished second behind Brazil in Group C, losing out on goal difference.
Winning your group at the World Cup usually lands your team a favorable first knockout game. So the Netherlands will feel aggrieved to have got the reigning African champions and a team that actually ranks one place higher in the FIFA world rankings. The winner of the Netherlands vs Morocco game will play Canada in the Round of 16.

The Netherlands endured a frustrating 2-2 draw with Japan to start the group stage. But they bounced back with a 5-1 destruction of Sweden and a 3-1 win over Tunisia. In the end, only France and Germany scored as many goals as the Dutch during the group stage. Ronald Koeman’s side looks far more dangerous with Brian Brobbey leading the line instead of Memphis Depay. Brobbey is not only a capable goalscorer, with three so far, but also able to hold up the ball and facilitate attacks.
The game could be won in the midfield, with both teams boasting strong centers. The Netherlands won the possession game in all three group games, heavily so against Japan and Tunisia. Frenkie de Jong is the key cog, breaking up play and regaining possession. His influence will be vital to a potential Dutch win.
Morocco showcased its attacking flair and ability to stick with the best teams during a 1-1 draw with Brazil to start the tournament. As ever, star full-back Achraf Hakimi’s ability to attack aggressively down the flank is a driving force for Morocco. Striker Ismael Saibari is in fine form, having scored 3 goals so far. Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz is the main creative force, with two assists.
Draw (+500)
This might be the most closely matched Round of 32 game. The Netherlands has more firepower and looks more efficient and threatening with Brobbey. But Morocco also has genuine world-class talent. If you take out the controversial AFCON final against Senegal, they haven’t lost an international match since August 2025.
The Netherlands swept aside Sweden and Tunisia, but Japan is a more comparable team to Morocco from a talent perspective. The Dutch team can score with anyone, but it has yet to keep a clean sheet at the World Cup. Morocco will be able to keep the possession battle fairly even, and we see the game needing extra time to find its winner.
Over 2.5 Goals (-148)
As we’ve mentioned, the Netherlands has been one of the best attacking teams in the tournament. They’ve scored 10 goals in three games and had 27 goals in 8 qualifying matches. But they can overstretch at times, leading to an expected goals against (xGA) per 90 mark of 1.38, which ranks 27th out of 42 teams.
Morocco’s lack of clinical finishing held it back against Brazil. The team looked to have gotten over those issues against Haiti, with 12 of its 19 shots hitting the target and 4 goals. Saibari, who is set to move to Bayern Munich, should be a problem for the Dutch back line. We expect a free-flowing game with a lot of chances, and at FanDuel, one of the best World Cup betting sites, you can bet the over at -148.
Brian Brobbey (+220)
Brobbey has helped to rejuvenate the Netherlands’ attack and is our pick for an anytime goalscorer. He has been clinical in front of goal, with 3 goals from 4 shots. While some regression is inevitable from that kind of efficiency, he should be boosted by the fact he’s locked in as the team’s starting striker.
