Boom Fantansy: Pros and Cons
  • 10+ sports for DFS
  • Multiple DFS game modes
  • Loyalty system for regular players
  • Only available on mobile

Boom Fantasy has been around for over a decade, as it launched in 2015. The platform says it offers Daily Fantasy Sports like never before, and I registered to verify. I’ll share what I found in this Boom Fantasy review.

The first thing I noticed is that Boom has multiple DFS game modes. You can play Pick’em, Pick & Spin, Squad-Ride, Pick’em Royale, and Coverage, each following a different pattern. The range of modes compares well to other DFS platforms, so I believe Boom has what it takes to rank among the best. Keep reading to learn more.

In the Boom Fantasy app, I counted more than 10 sports for DFS. These include football, basketball, soccer, baseball, hockey, tennis, esports, and more. As such, you’ll also find the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, UFC, and other top leagues. Here are my findings from reviewing each game mode.

Pick’em

First here is the popular DFS format where you make over/under picks on player projections. For each Pick’em entry, Boom allows 2 to 8 players. You win if you get all predictions correctly, and the maximum payout is 500x your entry amount.

During my Boom Fantasy Sportsbook review, I mainly played Pick’em on the NFL and NBA. I made over/under predictions on football passing/rushing yards, touchdowns, attempts, and more. Meanwhile, for basketball, my regular picks are player points, rebounds, and 3-pointers.

Pick & Spin

I enjoyed Boom Fantasy’s Pick & Spin because it’s like playing a Wheel of Fortune game. To play, you make a pick with at least two players from different teams. Then, you set your entry fee, spin the wheel, and you’ll receive a random multiplier.

If you don’t like the multiplier, you can spin again, but it’ll cost a new entry fee. In my experience, Boom Fantasy lets you spin the wheel until you reach the maximum entry fee.

The DFS platform shows the probability of hitting each wheel multiplier upfront, which I commend. An interesting twist is that 500x and 100x multipliers pay 25x and 10x, respectively, if only one of your picks wins.

Squad-Ride

Boom Fantasy’s Squad Ride follows a milestone pattern. I played by picking three athletes from a minimum of two different teams to form my squad. Then, the DFS platform set multiple milestones for my team.

Each player scored fantasy points based on their real-game performance, and their scores were combined into a total. If the total exceeds any milestone, I get the featured multiplier.

To illustrate, one of the milestones during this Boom Fantasy review in 2026 was a 5x multiplier for 50 points. My squad scored 57 points, so I won. Keep in mind that milestones change depending on the players you select. Also, Boom Fantasy only pays out for the highest milestone your squad achieves.

Pick’em Royale

Similar to the regular Pick’em, this Royale version involves making over/under picks. However, you’ll be competing against other DFS players in a peer-to-peer (P2P) format. Boom Fantasy places your picks into contest pools with 5,000 or fewer entries.

From my observation, the objective in Pick’em Royale is to finish among the top 50 players for a share of the prize pool. You’ll score points and rank on the live leaderboard based on how your entries perform. That said, you can only play in states where Boom Fantasy’s P2P is available.

Coverage

If you apply coverage to your DFS entries, you win even if a few picks lose. I used the option on several entries throughout my Boom Fantasy Daily Fantasy Sports review. The basic requirement is to select at least three players.

For entries with 3-4 picks, I got a payout if only one was lost. Meanwhile, with 5+ picks, I won if I lost up to two.

Risk-free token welcome bonus

Signing up with Boom Fantasy gets you a risk-free token of up to $100 on your first entry. To be eligible for this offer, I didn’t use a special Boom Fantasy bonus code. Instead, the token applies automatically after registration.

If you apply the token and don’t win on your first entry, you’ll receive your money back. However, if your entry fee is above $100, you’ll only get $100. I verified that the token works on any Boom DFS game mode, but you shouldn’t apply Coverage.

The refund is credited as bonus funds, which you can only use on a different DFS entry. If you win with your new picks, you can withdraw.

More promos on the Boom Fantasy app

Boom Fantasy surprised me with its daily promotions. As a DFS player, you can claim a bonus every single day, and here are the ones I found at the time of my review:

PromotionOffer
Super Wheel SundaysUp to 2,000x multiplier
Mystery MondaysRandom multiplier boost
Tuesday DoubleDiscounts on two-player stat projections
Wednesday DropsRandom bonus drops and DFS contests
Touchdown Thursdays50% profit boost
Risk-Free FridaysRisk-free tokens
Super Boost SaturdayIncreased special boosts

These promos improved my Boom Fantasy Daily Fantasy Sports rating, as you won’t see such on many other DFS platforms. That said, the offers may change, so check for what’s current when you register.

In addition to the everyday promos, I saw these other bonus offers on the Boom Fantasy app:

📈 Profit Boost

With a Profit Boost, you can increase the potential multiplier on your DFS picks. I got them from Touchdown Thursdays and other promos in this Boom Fantasy Daily Fantasy Sports review in 2026.

To apply a Profit Boost, you usually have to make a qualifying entry. Also, I noted that the boosts only work for Pick’em or Pick & Spin, as indicated in the terms. Squad Ride picks aren’t eligible.

🎁 Referral Bonus

I received a $25 bonus for each friend I invited to the Boom Fantasy app. To qualify for this offer, you have to share your unique link with other players to register. The bonus becomes available if your referral’s first deposit is $20 or more. The $25 reward lasts for 30 days before expiration, and you can use it on any DFS mode.

🏅 Loyalty System

Known as Leveling, the Boom Fantasy loyalty system is unlike any I’ve seen. It runs on experience points (XP) and has two categories: Global Level and Game Level. Each is separate from the other.

I progressed through the Global Level with XP from all my real money entries on the Boom Fantasy app. On the flip side, only XP from the respective DFS game modes counts in Game Level. Both systems offer risk-free tokens and Profit Boosts as rewards.

Boom Fantasy is mobile-only

If you want to play Boom Fantasy DFS, you have to install the mobile app on iOS or Android. The platform doesn’t work on desktop or web browsers. I see this as a downside, but it’s not unusual. Some other DFS brands in the US are also mobile-only.

The Boom Fantasy app takes seconds to install, and from my assessments, it’s simple to use. Via the bottom menu, you can select your preferred DFS game mode, manage your profile, and monitor recent entries. Meanwhile, on the main interface, you’ll see quite sizable player cards for making picks and entries.

Boom Fantasy payment methods

Boom Fantasy supports Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and Apple Pay for credit/debit card deposits. If you prefer digital wallets, PayPal and Venmo are available. The minimum amount is $10, and from my deposits, processing is usually instant.

In my Boom Fantasy Sportsbook review, I cashed out using PayPal most of the time. The DFS also supports Venmo, online banking, and debit cards. Like deposits, the minimum payout is $10, but there’s no maximum.

With PayPal, I received my Boom Fantasy withdrawals in under 24 hours. The same turnaround time applies to Venmo, while online banking takes 1-2 business days. Debit cards are the fastest, with less than 30 minutes.

Seeking support from Boom Fantasy

The Boom Fantasy customer service team is reachable through live chat and email. I didn’t see a phone number to call. You can access live chat in the app, and replies typically arrive in a few minutes. Email support may take a few hours.

At Boom Fantasy, I also found a help center with over 60 articles. You can check it for guides on the various DFS game modes, scoring formats, and other essential topics.

Where is Boom Fantasy available?

Before anything else, you have to confirm if Boom Fantasy works in your location. I checked this and saw that availability differs depending on the DFS game mode. That said, you’ll be able to access at least one mode if you’re in the following states:

  • Georgia
  • Rhode Island
  • Wisconsin
  • West Virginia
  • California
  • North Dakota
  • Kentucky
  • Texas
  • Florida
  • Minnesota
  • South Dakota
  • Oklahoma
  • Arkansas
  • Nebraska
  • Wyoming
  • Alaska
  • Vermont
  • Utah
  • Alabama
  • District of Columbia
  • South Carolina
  • Virginia
  • New Mexico
  • Massachusetts
  • Oregon
  • Illinois
  • North Carolina

Is Boom Fantasy legit?

Based on my Boom Fantasy Daily Fantasy Sports test, I consider the platform legit. Operated by Boom Shakalaka Inc, the DFS brand launched in 2015. So, it has 10+ years of history, which wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t trustworthy.

Boom Fantasy only permits players who are at least 18 years old (19 in AL and NE; 21 in MA). When I signed up, I had to complete a verification form before depositing. The verification process is automated, so it takes only a few minutes. However, you’ll have to upload your ID document manually if the automatic check doesn’t work.

Boom Fantasy is a remarkable DFS app

I describe Boom Fantasy as remarkable for three main reasons. First, the platform isn’t a newcomer to the industry, as it has 10+ years of experience. Second, it offers multiple DFS game modes, including Pick’em, Pick & Spin, and Squad Ride. Third, the app features multiple promos, including offers every single day.

Boom Fantasy doesn’t support desktop or web, which is the platform’s biggest downside. Nevertheless, almost everyone uses a smartphone nowadays. If you’re okay with the mobile-only access, you can click the banners on this page to install the Boom Fantasy app today.
