Cody Bellinger Is The First Rookie Ever To Hit 10 Home Runs In 10 Games
Via [object Object] Cody Bellinger has been in the big leagues for less than two months and is already the subject of a litany of fun facts, thanks to the historic pace of his rookie season. Here’s another one—he’s now the first rookie ever to hit 10 home runs in a 10-game span.
The 10th home run here came tonight off of New York Mets starter Robert Gsellman, who suffered through an ugly first inning in which he allowed four runs from two home runs. (Corey Seager provided the first one.) And knowing Bellinger’s track record with multi-dinger outings—he’s the first player ever to have five multiple-home run games after playing in 80 games or fewer, and he did it just in just 51—he very well might not be done for the night.
