Communists' DNC Flag-Burning Interrupted By DeSean Jackson Fanboy
The Revolutionary Communist Party and First Amendment pioneer Gregory Johnson staged a flag burning outside the Democratic National Convention today, only to find a Philadelphia Eagles fan taking objection to their attempt at free-speech fulmination.
Philadelphia resident and Deadspin editor-in-chief Tim Marchman took in the scene outside today’s final episode of the 2016 DNC. We covered much of it on Facebook Live, but the video above highlights the man in a DeSean Jackson jersey intervening in the flag-burning attempt.
As it turns out, the flag—presumably a cheap, foreign-made one—didn’t burn very well. A round of RCP speakers denounced the United States, after which the Eagles fan presumably set down his snowballs and D-cell batteries to seize the flag. Vermin Supreme interjected, and officiated the disagreement. They did not reach a fair consensus, but the fan eventually left peacefully.
