I claimed the DraftKings welcome bonus in New Jersey, and it was generally an excellent experience. However, it’s not without its flaws, and here are the most standout pros and cons of using a DraftKings promo code in NJ as a new customer:
Claiming the DraftKings welcome bonus in New Jersey is nothing complicated: simply sign up, place a $5 bet, and the bonus is already there. If you’re unsure what the entire process looks like, here is a step-by-step guide I followed to unlock mine:
You’ll get your bonus in a single lump sum instantly. All DraftKings Sportsbook bets can unlock the bonus, but they have to be a direct cash bet, not a bet placed with bonus bets. Also, you don’t have to fill out the field for a DraftKings Sportsbook promo code to claim the welcome bonus; you’ll get the bonus even without entering one.

The DraftKings welcome bonus for New Jerseyans is one of the friendliest bonuses I’ve used, but it comes with a few restrictive terms and conditions nonetheless. Here are some key terms and conditions to keep an eye out for when claiming and using a DraftKings promo code in NJ:
Credit cards are no longer accepted as a deposit method on Sportsbook, DK Casino, and GNOG products. Credit cards are still able to be used for Fantasy Sports products in jurisdictions that permit them.
DraftKings has several other terms and conditions for its welcome bonus, but you can check them all easily on the Promotions page on the site’s New Jersey website. I recommend reading the terms and conditions if you plan to claim the bonus: you’ll certainly find a few clauses that will apply specifically to your use case. If you don’t qualify for the DraftKings welcome bonus, our list of all New Jersey sportsbooks has several top alternatives.
Multiple betting options. 20+ sports represented. Solid welcome bonus. T&Cs and 21+ apply
I’ve claimed and used the DraftKings welcome bonus in New Jersey, and here are some expert tips I have for new customers looking to do the same:
All bonuses from using a DraftKings promo code in NJ expire in seven days, and you want to use them all on sports bets before they expire. When making a sports selection on DraftKings, you’ll see an option to apply your available bonus bets, select each of the available ones on separate bets before the seven-day expiry window to avoid forfeiting part or the entirety of your bonus.
Bonus bets on the DraftKings Sportsbook don’t show up with your regular balance. To check your remaining balance, you can open the Rewards page from your lobby to ensure you don’t have any pending bonus bets beyond their expiry date. As a bonus, you also see how many days are left for each of your bonus bets to expire, ordered by their expiry dates.
DraftKings is offering frequent promotions for New Jersey bettors, which are tied to local teams like the Giants, Jets, Devils, and Rutgers for example. These type of promotions can become available in the form of odds boosts or special parlay options. Another key point to keep in mind while betting responsibly is to read through the terms and conditions for DraftKings, which I have highlighted already in this DraftKings Sportsbook review.
DraftKings’ welcome bonus remains one of the most generous I’ve used in New Jersey. New Customers get up to $200 + 3 Months of NBA League Pass with a 1x wagering requirement and a seven-day expiry date. Besides, you don’t need any codes: simply register for DraftKings from New Jersey by clicking one of the banners on this page, deposit $5 or more, and wager it on any sports betting market to unlock your $200 + 3 Months of NBA League Pass.
No, you can claim your welcome bonus without a DraftKings promo code in New Jersey; simply register, make a cash deposit, wager it on any sports betting market, and you’re good to go.
The free $200 + 3 Months of NBA League Pass welcome bonus on DraftKings is exclusively for new customers with a bet of up to $5, and the bonus is credited to your balance in increments of $50 in a span of 21 days with 7-day intervals between them.
A qualifying wager is any $5 bet on any sports betting market on DraftKings placed with your cash deposit, not bonus bets.
