Introducing Deadspin Weekends!

One of the most common complaints we hear about our beloved site here — other than "nice hair, you dope" — is that we do not update on weekends when, you know, all kinds of sports tend to happen then. Well, we've heard your fierce missives, and let it be known that your plaintive wails were not in vain.

Henceforth, Deadspin will now be live on Saturdays and Sundays. We hope you enjoy one more excuse to stay on the couch. We therefore proudly introduce you to Deadspin Weekend Editor The Mighty MJD, who will be your intrepid guide through all matters day-of-rest. If you're a regular reader of the site, we've pointed you in MJD's direction before plenty of times, so you know what the fella is capable of. We're extremely honored to have him here.

What do you need to know about him? MJD is a fan of the Pistons and Chargers (he owns a Ryan Leaf stuffed teddy bear), and his greatest accomplishment in the last calendar year was "winning the national championship with Canisius on College Hoops 2K6."
