Prepare For 33 Percent Less Joe Buck
It looks like those who feel you have just the right amount of Joe Buck in your life are about to be disappointed: He's not hosting the FOX pregame this upcoming football season.
Fox, the maverick in sports television, won't be bucking the trend next fall as it did last season when Joe Buck served as its NFL pregame show host and lead play-by-play broadcaster. It was the first time a network television announcer filled both roles simultaneously. Buck will do only play-by-play next season, as the network will split the duties after incurring higher-than-expected costs for taking "Fox NFL Sunday'' on the road last year.
Curt Menefee will take over as studio host, and now Terry Bradshaw will get to sleep in his own bed on Saturday nights. Which is nice.
