Typical Philadelphia Marketing
This image was lost some time after publication. An outstanding find from Mr. Irrelevant: A television station in Philadelphia is reporting that the Phillies made a bit of a mistake with a promotional DVD they sent out.
The DVD was supposed to be full of highlights from the Phillies, meant to fire up the hardcore fan base to re-up on their season tickets. But, it turns out, a few of the DVDs weren't of Chase Utley and Jimmy Rollins; instead, they featured hours of cockfighting.
The fan who first reported the incident has, of yet, not renewed his season tickets. But, honestly: The old Veterans Stadium seemed like the world's largest cockfighting arena when it was around; the mailings, considering some Philly fans, might not have been the worst ploy. One, we're sure, that Ugueth Urbina probably had something to do with.
